Who we are?

Training with Hart (“we or us”) collect, use and are responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are regulated under GDPR and the Data Protection Act which apply across the European Union. We are responsible as a “controller” of that personal information for those laws.

We are registered with the ICO.

If you give us information about another person, you are confirming that the other person has appointed you to act on their behalf and agree that you:

  • To contact you about training you have booked and any upcoming training
  • Certificates of attendance

  • Records of attendance
  • Proof of competence in relation to tests/quizzes/activities
  • To inform you of other training courses and promotions.

We may share your information with law enforcement agencies in connection with an investigation to help prevent unlawful activities.

We will not share your personal information with any other 3rd parties.

We would like to send you information about services, offers and our business which may be of interest to you. Such information could be sent by post, email or telephone.

If you opt-in to receive such information from us you can opt-out at any time.

The provision of the following information is required from you:

  • Name of the learner on the training course
  • Address and contact information of the care home
  • Whether you the learner is or has recently experienced any Covid 19 symptoms.

This enables us to do the following:

  • Create certificates of attendance
  • Send certificates and invoices
  • Enable the training to take place at your care home
  • Information about booking, training and invoices.

Training with Hart will hold your personal information for the following periods:

6 years to satisfy UK law.

Once the 6 years is completed we will destroy your data securely under UK law,

All computerised information is kept on the proprietors work laptop which is password protected and is used solely for training/work purposes.

Physical Data will be stored inline with GDPR in an Anti-Theft filing cabinet which is locked at all times when not in use.

In the unlikely eventuality that we experience a data breach we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

We rely on the following as the lawful basis on which we collect and use your information:

  • Vital interests
  • Public Task

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used in an unauthorised way.

Securely locked filing cabinets.
