About the Course

This Autism Awareness training course will support you and your staff team to understand more about autism spectrum disorders. This course will explore what autism spectrum disorder is, the early indicators of autism and some of the behaviours we may see so you can support the individual in a way that works for them. This course challenges the myths that can be attached to autism. With an overview of the diagnosis procedure and exploring how to support the individual to manage distressing behaviour, this course will support staff to have a greater understanding of ASD. This course also looks at the sensory impact on the individual and how we can support them.
