Providing Safe and Quality Training
Training with Hart will be implementing the following measures to keep all people safe during training
On arrival to the care home, the trainer will wear a facemask to enter the premises, and will keep this on until arrival in the training room. If the trainer needs to leave the training room for any reason, a facemask will be worn.
Trainers will also have a face shield available which can be worn during sessions. This is at the discretion of the trainer and care home.
Prior to arriving at the care home, the trainer will have undertaken a LFT (Lateral Flow Test) and will have emailed the results to the care home manager. In the event this test proves positive, training will be rescheduled when it is safe to do so.
In the event that you wish to have training, but are uncertain about the trainer coming into your home, or about adequate space for training to be completed safely, Training with Hart would be happy to find a venue as locally as possible where the training could be held, together with where social distancing can be followed. Please Note: In the event of an independent venue training costs may alter.
To align with government guidelines, learners should try and uphold social distancing where possible. This is likely to determine the maximum class size for each training venue. Therefore, the venue must be assessed, and the maximum class size determined before a course is booked and advertised. Please note that this policy is live and is subject to change if the current situation changes.
Where possible the training space should be well ventilated.
Care home staff must undertake regular testing and must not attend the training if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 (see below).
Good hand and respiratory hygiene must be upheld throughout the training. Hand Sanitiser will be made available throughout.
All training equipment are subjected to a proportionate cleaning regime.
If a learner has any of the symptoms of COVID-19 e.g.
It is vital that both training with Hart and customers are transparent on this point.
We will implement social distancing measures will be implemented where possible between staff during the course and request the same of candidates during break times.
There will be hand sanitisers available and staff must hand sanitise when entering and leaving the training room, as well as between any practical activities.
When participating in classroom practical activities gloves* will be offered, and hand sanitisation will be encouraged following the completion of the task. When completing practical activities is vital that staff wear a mask.
Training with Hart trainers will clean/disinfect surfaces of tables etc before training commences.
Face-coverings will not be provided but candidates are welcome to wear their own should they wish.
Due to the nature of some of the training sessions i.e Moving and Handling of people, social distancing may not possible during the practical elements, gloves and masks should be worn at all times during the practical session.
This is a live document and will be subject to change and updates as the situation changes.
